The "N" Word

Somebody asked me about the “N” word
I said yeah, we still got niggas around here.
Word!
Somebody else told me not to say the word nigga
Just let it go
I suppose I would if I could
But there are still too many niggas out there that I know.
And they’re proud of it.
So I’ll stop saying it
When they stop playin’ it.
I’m a call as spade a spade
I’m a call the kettle black
I’ll stop calling niggas “niggas”
The same day niggas become Black and learn how the fuck to act

Cause see a word is just that
A word
Actions, not names must be changed
In order for change be heard
You think if we stop saying “ho” that ho's will go away
I saw some ho's when I got off the freeway in LA the other day
And, I saw about 5 ho's on my way to Grandma’s house just today
Clearly ho's like their job and they are here to stay
So basically until all niggas go away
The word nigga will live to see the next day
But did you ever think like maybe:
We wouldn’t need the word nigga no more
If the last nigga left and somebody ran behind him and locked the door
But niggas are like roaches
and they can come up through the floor
Now don’t trip cause although niggas come in all races, shapes and hues
The Negro ones I see on the daily are the ones looking like the biggest fools
With these niggas, you can’t eyeball ‘em
And you bet’not touch their “ice” or step on their tennis shoes
Ignorance goes together with niggas
Like police cars went with Hill Street Blues

This world is bigger than Black
What?
You think I don’t know that
But this world was started by Black
So no I won’t step the fuck back
I keeps it real Real
And I’m a let you know the real deal
Cause life is about real shit
You don’t need to get rid of the word nigga
You need to get rid of the nigga mentality
And that’s real spit.
I really don’t know “what it do”
But, I see exactly what it don’t
I expose niggas cause they’re on some real stupid shit
Beckoning me to join them
But I won’t.
And so often alone it seems, I rhyme about real Black issues
Cause Kleenex is running out of tissues
Too many Black mothers mourning
Too many Black men jobless
Cause they’re too lazy to get up in the morning
Yeah I said it.
Lazy niggas
Get some glasses cause your vision is hazy niggas.
All this shit is making me crazy niggas.
AND
I’m tired of all the excuses a la
“Oh, the white man did it”
Yeah, we already know
But you’re responsible for your own education
So go find a book and LOOK IN IT

Until this lame ass retarded mentality is put to rest
Not saying the word nigga is pretty much fruitless
Even if we called them something else
Without a serious mentally switch, who exactly would they be
I don’t know who to you
But they would still be niggas to me
Worrying about a word is wasting time
We should be worrying about all the niggas out committing crime
Pony up, but get off your high horse
Fuck the word nigga
If we really want to get rid of our problems
We’ll need to abolish the source.

You are the craziest - most brilliant chick I know. The problem is, people are just not ready for you. If you would just write a book on your upbringing you would be rich. But, you would have to market it to white people because Negros don't read or buy Black.

The N word is not a black or white thing, conversly a state of mind and a expression of mental slavery !!!!!!

Although I don't use the word, I agree that it is just a word. There would be no relevant meaning to Black people of we would all act like we had some damn sense.

I think the reason I don't use the word, it because I stay away from "N"'s as much as possible.

Interesting point of view. You know, I would be interested in hearing from someone who would dare disagree with you. Lord knows I wouldn't dare.

Peace,

DARE I DISAGREE?? I DO!!!

Nice poem. The entertainment value of this piece is only outweighed by its ignorance. First the N word was not created by Black people- stop spreadin lies. The N word was created by evil crackaz that saught to demonize us, dehumanize us and ultimately terrorize us. See it was much easier for a cracka to live with his self after ripping a Black woman stomach open pulling out an unborn fetus stomping on that Black baby's head when you don't see that mother or that Black baby as a living, feeling, human like you. It is was an animal you just killed, not a human. It was a worthless, like a roach. This is the stuff of a psychopathic mind.

Now the question is how much of that kind of terror did we have to experience? How many little black boys had to get raped, where his father could do nothing? How many of our daughters had to get raped in front of their mothers, how many men had to get tortured for us to wake up one day and say...okay!! your right..I am an animal. I must be, I can't do shit that would make me a man. I am less than an animal and this is what my father was and his before him. Damn, I am a Nigga! You see that was the breaking point, the point where you loose all hope. The point when you expect nothing more than pain in your future, and you accept that.

So now that we accept it and have become what our eternal enemy claimed we were all along, what do we do? We act like N's. Like wild animals! We treat each other like they treated us. now we rape each other, kill each other, and terrorize our own communities. We auction off our soul. We put the proudly display the worst parts of our culture to the world. why? because we have internalized their labels, their deffinition, and their psychopathic racist mindset. So if you gonna keep it real then keep it real! Lets read your poem again. Their is no hope in there, their is no progress, just acceptance. that I am what you say I am. You are the breaking point.

You say we need to get rid of that "N" mentality,of course we do. But I know you are not silly enough to think we can't do both at the same time. N's aren't born(which proves that there is no such thing). So everytime a little Afrikan baby is comes out the womb he is the solution to all of our problems, but how long before YOU call him a N. How long before you do your part to make him one. You are perpetuating a system everytime you use the word. Your poem screams that you have given up on liberation, that you are scared, that you are comfortable on your high horse pointing your finger at "those niggas" not realizing that THEY ARE US. Lets get mature Black people, and stop pretending like we are getting more just by wanting less. This is much more than a word. It is a condition that turned into a mentality, that turned into a behavior that turned into our reality. SELF RESPECT IS THE FOUNDATION OF JUSTICE!!!! nobody respects a N-.
